Allusion is not Illusion

You'll pry my books off my cold, dead body. By the time you shift them all I'll be flat and dessicated.

Emily and the Enchanted Frog - Helen V. Griffith;Susan Condie Lamb
My edition actually contains three stories:

"Emily and the Enchanted Frog" in which the little girl kisses a frog and turns him into a prince -- and then has to find a way to change him back because he doesn't want to be a prince.

"Emily and the Elf" in which Emily gets a wish and uses it (as is always the case in stories) poorly.

"Emily and the Mermaid" in which Emily meets a hermit crab who thinks he's a mermaid.
