Allusion is not Illusion

Unlucky Break (The Administration, #2.1) - Manna Francis
Bondage, broken bones, and a hospital stay. Sounds side-splitting, no?

Francis really is impressive at working humor into the most unexpected of situations. However, she's also really good at complex and seamless interlocking plots of mystery, science-fiction, and personalities, and those don't fit into 11 pages. At least not when some of the pages are needed for the sex scenes.

Amusing, but not as engrossing as her full-length novels.
