Allusion is not Illusion

You'll pry my books off my cold, dead body. By the time you shift them all I'll be flat and dessicated.

No Fond Return of Love - Barbara Pym Very well written, although not as sympathetic as [b:Less Than Angels|587597|Less Than Angels|Barbara Pym|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1348070499s/587597.jpg|172510], the only other Pym I've read. I didn't get the fascination Aylwin held for the other characters, and thus their continued investigation of his (uninteresting) life rather dragged for me.

The blurb on goodreads does not describe the plot very accurately. The castle mentioned, especially, is hardly of any importance and isn't even mentioned until late in the story. Don't pick this up expecting Gothic intrigue.
